What's That Sound???

You know you are in Wyoming when you wake to the sound of horses. With limited wi-fi service it has been a lot harder to get blogs written and pictures posted. Rick has been great at using his phone to post photos and videos each evening as we check into our next location. I have been getting pictures posted on FB too but have not had the time to label where or what I am posting. Will just have to backtrack some day and organize the files. For now I am taking lots of photos for memories and references for new works.

I even had some time on Sunday to work on a new pastel piece. Drawing in the car has its moments, when there are smooth roads it works. Lately, not so much, so trying to keep up with my journal. We do so much in one day if I don't write things down I feel like I am forgetting something by the following day.

Just yesterday we drove from Casper, WY to Jackson, WY. We had a picnic lunch with a view of the Grand Tetons. We went over to Jenny Lake, took the shuttle boat over to the far side of the lake. Did a hike up to the Hidden Falls and then instead of taking the shuttle back we thought we would do the "2 mile" hike around the lake back to the visitors center. By the time we got back we had done almost 5 miles. There was way more up hill than either of us thought. We did bring two full bottles of water and granola bars. The water falls and the views are worth the hike. With the elevation changes, just make sure you drink lots of water and take breaks.

Today we are going to the Wildlife Museum and to see Amy Ringholz Gallery in Jackson Hole. A little more relaxed kind of day.
