Arbor Art

Today, April 18th is Arbor Day in AZ. It is hard to keep track of Arbor Day as it can be celebrated at different dates throughout the year in different states. For the majority of the United States it is sometimes within March & April, a few states go into May but there are some that honor trees in November, December and January.

I think honoring trees in April works pretty well with Earth Week, month or day. So, today we honor the tree. Since, I have drawn and painted a few trees in my life time and photographed thousands I will share a few with you today. I tried to find one to cover each season starting with spring - Palo Verde, Summer - Oak, Fall - White Oaks, Winter - American Beech

Make sure you go hug a tree today. Maybe even plant a few. To find out more about Arbor Day in your neck of the woods, here is the web site. http://www.arborday.org
