A Day Late

Apparently December 12th is National Poinsettia Day. I missed it by a day but that has never stopped me in the past, so why start now. While we were heading to GA for Thanksgiving, we did a stop at the Biltmore Estate. It was on my to-do list before we make the move west. I have heard how lovely it is for the holidays, it did not disappoint.

The Biltmore Estate is the largest private residence in the USA. It sits on 8000 acres of land, with trails, forested areas, water running through the woodlands. The house itself is interesting to explore on the self guided tour. But, the green houses at this time of year. Several of them were filled with poinsettia. The plants were of many colors, sizes, and displayed for all to enjoy. So, without further ado here are some pictures from the Biltmore Estates Greenhouses.
