Pushing The Point

The International Society of Scratchboard Artists (ISSA for short) is at the Ironwood Gallery in Tucson till the 29th of May. For those that may not know much about scratchboard it is generally done on a ink coated clay board surface, scratching through the generally black surface to expose the white. The artist in ISSA take this simple explanation to a whole different level. They are pushing the point of this art form.

The show is beautiful and I would have a hard time saying which work was my favorite. If you love details in your art, you will love some of these images. To find out more about this art form and the organization here is the web site: http://www.scratchboardsociety.com
