Sweet Surprise

On our way to Moab to see Arches National Park we stopped for a picnic lunch at Capitol Reef National Park. What a sweet surprise this find was, or it was crazy beautiful! We stopped there for a lunch break and took the 10 mile drive back through the park. There are a couple roads that are a bit rough, recommended for high clearance vehicles. Luckily ours was high enough. We took one of these drives back through the cliffs, it was beautiful beyond words.

I must say that our country is so beautiful and so diverse. High mountains, rivers, valleys, hoo-doos, more on that another day, pine trees so high it is hard to see where they stop, juniper trees that twist, turn and even after death are beautiful - again more on that later.

Here are a few photograph from Capitol Reef National Park. A place I do believe I will return to, again and again.
