Cowgirls and

Wickenburg...what use to be a gold mine town is now home to ranchers and farmers. The Hassayampa River is the source of water that makes this land rich.

The Desert Caballeros Western Museum houses the history of the town. Once a year they host a show which focuses on women artists of the west - "Cowgirl Up". I was able to get out there this week to see the works of some wonderful western women artists. The show has paintings, works on paper, sculptures in bronze and clay. It was breath-taking and inspiring.
