Penumbral eclipse, Latin meaning: next to the shadow. Today at 7:51 pm on the east coast of N. America you can see a slight shadow on the lower half of the moon. That's it the Penumbral eclipse. The rest of the USA won't really see much. If I were back in Africa I would see a more intense shadowing of the moon. But, that is the word for the day...I actually prefer the definition, next to the shadow. Might see that as a title some day for a piece of my art, next to the shadow, hmmm. Need to think about what I would create to go with that title. Sometimes the title comes first, then the image develops. A thought for another day, I have enough images in process waiting for titles.
