Mist On The Mountains

At end of day yesterday, Rick helped me pack up the car. We then drove up the rocky little road to the top of the mountain. What a view! The sun had come out but the clouds still had some hanging to do allowing bits of blue to peak through. The mist was a soft filter on the mountains. Since the moisture is plentiful lichen was too. What a nice way to end a 3 day working show.

If you missed the art show, you should take some time to experience the nature show. A drive up to Mountain Lake Lodge area is worth the trip. There are hiking trails, plenty of views just driving around, the lodge has a tavern & restaurant, gift shop & gallery. As the leaves continue to change this would be an ideal place to get your fall color-fix in!!!
