Yellow & Blue make...

Arizona, bright and full of flowers, plus lots of green too. With the winter having some rain this year and even a few spring showers, the yellow has just filled the hill sides and the clear blue skies make for a beautiful spring.

Trying to keep my focus on art this week. Life still gets in the way but I look out on the field of flowers, take a deep breath, count to 10 and move forward.

I did get a little mountain lion pastel done and worked on a small zebra butterfly yesterday. Plan to finish it this afternoon. I think my demo for Thursday evening might be a mountain lion...at least that is what I am planning. Sometimes as I get the papers that I tone out they often tell me something different - so we shall see.

Until then I will enjoy the yellow flowers and the green leaves of the palo verde, the brittlebush and the prickly pear.
