Taking Time

Spring Forward - Fall Back, the whole idea was to make better use of the daylight, saving energy. The original idea is from Benjamin Franklin in 1784. In 1907 William Willett of London wrote "Waste of Daylight". A Bill was purposed in England in 1909 which Farmers opposed. Germany was the first country to introduce time change, England followed in 1916.

Here we are today in the good ole U.S. of A and we are still trying to figure out if there is a benefit to making changes.

But, on a lighter side of changes, I have been taking advantage of this time to put new work in Gallery 108, 108 Market Street, Roanoke, VA. If you get a chance drop on by, they have First Friday Gallery Walks each month and new works go up to feature different artists. Just around the corner and across the street is the Taubman Museum. It is a small museum but always changing exhibits. They recently received funding so there is no longer a charge to go to the museum, something free to do.

So, if you have the time today, go out for a walk, check out a new museum, a new show or explore a new place.
