Each day is a new step in the process of making art. Making the time to create the piece is only a small part of the art. Protecting the surface, framing or finding a unique way to display the work. Then applying to shows to hang the work for people to see. Along with adding it to web sites and other social media. The business of art. I have often said if lucky an artist has 6 months to create new works and the other 6 are spent doing the PR, social media, delivering, hanging, applying to shows.

Shows are coming to a close here in AZ. This weekend the works I have been doing each Saturday at the Botanical Gardens will go on display & sale. The show goes up on Saturday at 8:00 am and closes on Sunday at 6:00 pm. It will be a long couple of days but a great way to spend a beautiful weekend. In between I drop off work that got into the juried pastel show in Sedona. That show opens April 14th with artists reception from 2:00 - 4:30. It is at the Art Center of Sedona.

Today and the next couple of days I will be putting the finishing touches on the Garden works and getting them ready for the show. The works for Sedona are complete. What's next, maybe some plein air painting in Sedona or right outside my backyard. In the meantime here are the 3 pieces that got into the Sedona show.

beep-beep (road runner pastel on Rives BFK paper)

Blue Rocks & Eagle Feather (pastel on Rives Blue paper)
